[TRANSLATION] Hail the bird Roraima

Hello followers of mediocrity, this is the newest Portuguese to English translation I've made (and the first poem in the direction PT > EN).
Elimacuxi is a well known poet in Roraima, this so-far-North state I live. She's know for her free and irreverent style of poetry. This poem is an example of how aware to rhythm she is. For more poems, please visit Elimacuxi, Poesia Pura.

Olá, seguidores da mediocridade, esta é a mais nova tradução que faço. É também o primeiro poema que traduzo (até o fim) do Português para o Inglês.

HAIL THE BIRD RORAIMA (translation)

Ave Roraima that sings

like a mythical bird.

In the chest of those enchanted,

whom its lyrics have lured,
rivers run and colors blaze

making fiery savannahs raze,

and monkeys howl in heat.
Even those born on asphalt
from the dirt and in the din
suddenly are Roraimeira

Pretoneuberelia-kin…
Hail Roraima that sings

Love that enters and clings
Supplanting all evils within.
